General background
Annabella is a company specializing in the development of unique breast pumps based on a natural suction mechanism that mimics the movements of an infant's tongue. The unique mechanism helps increase milk release and production, providing a natural, comfortable, and efficient experience for mothers.

Design process
The project involved the development and design of an accessory for the pumping kit – a portable splitter, intended to allow a mother to pump milk using two pumps simultaneously.
In the first stage, we received the engineering requirements for the splitter and conducted in-depth research on the daily use of potential users. The research focused on understanding how the object is held, the movements around it, and the operational stages during pumping. The goal was to create a comprehensive picture that would allow us to design a product tailored to the users' needs.
Form development
After analyzing the gathered information, we concluded that the desired shape should be based on a simple structure from which gentle grip points are derived. In the central body of the splitter, we created intuitive grip areas that flow harmoniously into the upper part of the cover. The result is a comfortable, easy-to-operate three-dimensional body that suits various holding methods while maintaining the design language that represents the company's values.

Visual DNA
Soft, rounded shapes and the use of simple, basic forms were central to the design process. The guidelines we received from the client helped deepen our understanding of the message the product aims to convey – a balance between functionality, comfort, and aesthetics. Throughout the development process, the design was perfectly adapted to the engineering constraints while preserving a high-quality and intuitive user experience.
